The 24 Hours of Adrenalin is one of the fastest growing set of mountain bike events in North America. It's either a team relay event or an outstanding test of individual accomplishment, a bike race taking place over a span of 24 hours straight. The objective of the race, for both teams and soloists, is to complete as many laps as possible.
The weekend of May 5-6, I attended the 24 Hours of Adrenalin, a mountain bike race and relay race at the Laguna Seca Recreation Area, near Monterey and Salinas. I had heard about the race from Marc Callender, a fellow co-worker at Palm. Like the Pink Slip Party in Palo Alto, I learned of the event only a couple of days prior. Fortunately, my weekend plans were up in the air, so I made the decision on Friday evening to pack up the photography equipment and drive down to the Laguna Seca Recreation Area.
