Earlier this week, I joined The Last Angry DJ to talk about the release of Action Phrase. During the episode, I walked through a demo of the app and answered questions from the audience.
Watch it here:
As described on their channel, “The Last Angry DJ is a show that welcomes broadcast luminaries and young rising stars to engage in thought provoking conversations about the industry and tangential topics related to, not excluding the ever changing world of media production.”
I’ve known the co-hosts, Alexander Knight and Mitchell Hill through Office Hours — a global community media and event professionals — so it was great to reconnect and dive into my new app.
With Action Phrase, I’m working to move beyond the Blackmagic Design / ATEM-focused workflows that shaped tools like MixEffect and RouteEffect, and into the broader live production ecosystem.
If you know podcasters, streamers, or production teams using tools like vMix, OBS, ProPresenter, or similar setups, I’d appreciate you sharing Action Phrase with them.
Also, Action Phrase is now available on macOS—Apple approved the Mac Catalyst version this morning.
