A MacRumors.com reader in the UK received his Quad G5 and has sent in some preliminary benchmarks. An xBench 1.2 score of 151.86 and a Cinebench Rendering rating of 1016 CB sounds pretty good to me. He also performed a Photoshop Radial Blur test in 19.2 seconds. My 867MHz Quicksilver did it in 330 seconds, 17 times slower! Yes, I think that I’m going to like this new computer.
The monitor and RAM arrived last week. Two weeks is the estimated time of arrival for the computer.
Update: BareFeats has some more benchmarks on the Quad G5.
