7800 GTX CineBench 9.5 Scores

Ran CineBench 9.5 on my new video card last night. Here are the results:

Rendering (Single CPU): 381 CB-CPU
Rendering (Multiple CPU): 1135 CB-CPU

Multiprocessor Speedup: 2.98

Shading (CINEMA 4D) : 394 CB-GFX
Shading (OpenGL Software Lighting) : 1352 CB-GFX
Shading (OpenGL Hardware Lighting) : 3754 CB-GFX

OpenGL Speedup: 9.52

Oliver over in Germany did a similar test on his Quad with the 7800 GTX 512 and got the following results:

Rendering (Single CPU): 386 CB-CPU
Rendering (Multiple CPU): 1173 CB-CPU

Multiprocessor Speedup: 3.04

Shading (CINEMA 4D) : 385 CB-GFX
Shading (OpenGL Software Lighting) : 1286 CB-GFX
Shading (OpenGL Hardware Lighting) : 2748 CB-GFX

OpenGL Speedup: 7.14

So, I’m seeing a bigger OpenGL Speedup than he is. Results from a stock 7800 GT seem very close to what Oliver is getting. Anybody else with a 7800 GTX got CineBench scores to share?

    Make sure you are both using April 7th version of Cinebench v9.5. Maxon re-released v9.5 after improving performance by utilizing OpenGL better. Oliver’s performance should improve to your level once he uses the latest version. Just ask him to re-download it.

    The Cinebench version I used is up to date. Seems the card has been (after some individual testing) clocked down for more stable and reliable operation. So says Rubytuesday who did the flashing. Gotta find out now the speed my card is actually running at.

    Anyway still a very fast card!

    Probably doesn’t apply, but make sure you have the external power connector connected to the card and motherboard. I had forgot to connect mine recently and the performance tanked.

    Thanks for mentioning – but I did plug the additional power connector to the logicboard.
