Last month, I started a monthly video series with John Barker from Here to Record. He’s the developer of event production tools such as H2R Graphics, H2R Gear, Rundown Studio, and Dashmaster 2K. If you’ve ever had to download Bitfocus Companion, you’ll recognize his face in the video gracing the product’s home page.
I’ve known John since I launched MixEffect, and he’s become a good friend and sounding board for anything related to event production. As both of us are indie developers, we also enjoy having regular chats about our respective businesses. I’m going to have to pick his brain on starting up a SAAS product, as that’s another area of interest of mine.
The Adam and John Show on YouTube delves into topics surrounding event production from a developer’s perspective. The first episode looked at what we found most interesting and relevant from Blackmagic Design at NAB 2024 last month.
In our second episode, John Barker and I dive deeper into the new USB View feature of MixEffect 2.1.0. We also talk briefly about the new Final Cut Pro 2 for iPad and Final Cut Camera software.
We plan to vary the format of our episodes and where we host them (i.e. on my channel and on John’s channel). For instance, we’re looking at having a guest speaker for our next video. And, we’re open to suggestions on what topics you’d like to hear us cover from the event production and developer perspective. Leave a comment down in the videos on YouTube.
Finally, I have no shame in asking you to like and subscribe to our channels! While I’ve had a YouTube channel for many years now, I’ve only recently have started to focus on producing more content. Much of it is related to my apps, but I’ve been branching off to discuss other topics that interest me. We’ll see how far I can take this!
