This is a reminder that there will be no January 2006 meeting of the Camera Owners of the Bay Area (COBA) user group.
The next meeting will be held on February 8, 2006. We will be discussing new RAW processing applications such as Adobe Lightroom and Apple’s Aperture. Other topics to be announced.
This may be a stupid question… but I was wondering for printing, should I always generate JPEGS from my RAW files that are correctly sized (in terms of pixels and PPI) for the physical size that I want (like 4×6), or is it okay to use the largest JPEG I can generate from my RAW files?
A properly sized JPEG will be fine if you’re only going to print 4×6 — no need to send in the super large JPEG. Some people make different sharpening and other adjustments depending on the target print size.
