Happy Endings

There’s a happy ending to my photo loss story last night. I woke up to an email from the folks at PhotoRescue that contained a registered copy of the application. I ran the program again, and it successfully found and retrieved my the deleted files! In addition to the photos from Amy and Jeremy’s wedding and the past three days, there were several images from the Beijing Wushu Team performance in November.

Lessons learned:

  1. $29 for PhotoRescue is money well-spent!
  2. Hard drives eventually fail.
  3. Don’t use MicroDrives.

Guess I’ll have some stuff to talk about at the COBA meeting next week, no? Remember to attendees, we’ve moved to Cordura Hall 100 at Stanford University.
