These are the cheapest prices I’ve seen yet for SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash memory cards. I hear from Alex that CostCo is selling SanDisk Ultra II cards for cheap too.

I remember paying those prices for 2GB cards a few years ago. If you’re looking for cheap cards, this is the deal to get. Supplies are limited at MyDigitalDiscount so act fast!
Update: Looks like they’ve raised prices slightly. I ended up purchasing 2 8GB cards. The price I paid was how much I paid for one 2GB Ultra II card years ago!
Adam, do you know if the 5Ds support 12GB cards? Looks like it’s close price wise for 1 12GB card or 2 4GB cards.
I would think the 5D would support the 12GB card. Canon released a firmware update for the 1D-series in December, 2006, to properly detect CF cards of greater than 12GB. Don’t see why the 5D would be an exception.
I see the update for the 1Ds but I did not see an equivalent for the 5D. The 5D firmware release is now up to 1.1.0 so I guess I’ll just have to call.

Prices are actually higher than you list.
These were the prices when I posted the entry. I’ll update the list now.
Sandisk is running some pretty good rebates on memory cards through May. You can find the rebate form here:

I am using a 12 GB card with my EOS 5d (firmware 1.1.0). All works fine, except, now I have performed a ‘format’ using the camera. The card has now become a 8 GB card! (and I don’t have the software to reformat using my PC) :-(
So apparently, yes the 12 GB card works ok, but reformatting is not a good idea until Canon releases a new firmware version to correct this.
